#14 in the Magical Journey card deck and the Journey of 100 Paintings Series
I remember coloring freely and spontaneously with crayons as a child … then I went to kindergarten and learned about lines. Students received accolades and praise from the teacher when they colored inside those lines. It felt good to get that kind of acknowledgement, so I became determined to master the art of staying inside the lines of structure and realism. I did so until I was in my twenties when those same lines started to feel confining. I began questioning borders and beliefs, searching for truth. This led me to learning how to paint outside the lines on canvas and in life … to freedom!
Much of our lives are built within structures we thought were “absolute truths'' and often we are not even sure how they got there. If we want our lives to be built on integrity, it’s vital that we take time to unravel old security blankets and weave fabrics aligned to our authentic self.
Some beliefs may be powerful pillars in your life that support your truth. Some may obstruct the flow of your purpose. To question and investigate is an act of faith. If it is a truth that resonates with your whole being, it will survive the unraveling. If it is not, release it, and wisdom will flow to you.
