Is This Moment "Really" the Way It's Suppose to be?
Oct 11, 2021
As I stood back to look at the painting on the easel, a new awareness coursed through my veins. Something new had just happened. It was like the painting had been in charge of what it wanted to be—not me.
A guiding force had taken over the painting process from a deeper level than I had ever experienced. There were images I had not knowingly painted, and yet they were there. And when I stepped up to add more brushstrokes, I was stopped in my tracks as the painting communicated its completeness—a message that dropped in with power, sureness and finality. It was finished. To add more would be to detract.
My ego had a tantrum, but I thanked it for sharing and obediently dropped my brush to the palette.
This was on June 5, 2018. Little did I know then, that I had just completed the first of fifty-five paintings that would become the Magical Journey card deck.
What I learned: Trusting the perfection of seemingly “imperfect” moments—is how dreams come true. So the answer to the question, "Is this moment really the way it's suppose to be?" is absolutely YES.
